INFRASTRUCTURE
COMPUTER LABORATORY
The Computer Laboratory consists of sufficient number of computers with modern technologies and latest software. The computer laboratories are being used for training, developing software, hardware and networking support to the students. Students use the computer laboratory for regular practice and completing their assignments and project work under supervision of respective faculty member. Interested students are allowed to use the computer laboratory for extra practice.
LANGUAGE LABORATORY
A dedicated space is provided in the Language laboratory for learning Spoken English. Here students can practice their listening and speaking skills concurrently. Students are completely self-paced which gives them more control over their own progress. Language Laboratory software keeps track of progress of the students in their speaking and listening power.
LIBRARY
In GIM, we provide library facility and information services through our well organized college library. There is a rich collection of reference books and project reports. The different wings like reading section, periodical section and computer based information browsing systems are merging together to provide the modern library services to our students. National/International Journals, Periodicals, Magazines and daily newspapers are being subscribed to update the current knowledge and information of the students.
SEMINAR HALL
We have a 1500 sq.ft well furnished and air conditioned seminar hall with 300 sitting capacity. Different types of seminars, reunions, freshers’ welcome, students’ farewell, and different types of cultural programmes are celebrated here throughout the year.
TRANSPORTATION
We provide free of cost transportation facility to and from the centre of Berhampore town for the students, faculty members and staff members.
COUNSELING & CAREER GUIDANCE
Before admission in any stream, the students and guardians are given a thorough career counseling session to help the students to choose the right course for them as per their subject preference, academic strength and the future prospect of the course.
ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE
By following the guidelines provided by UGC & MAKAUT, an Anti-Ragging Committee and an Internal Harassment Committee have been formed in out Institute. These committees strictly supervise regarding all types of indisciplinary actions in the college premises.
