CELEBRATION

Saraswati Puja
Every year the students of GitaRam Institute of Management organizes Saraswati Puja seeking blessings from the Goddess of Learning.
As a tradition of our institute, students of 2nd year (BBA, BCA, BBA in Hospital Management) take the charge of this religiocultural event. They make all arrangements – from cleaning the campus to decorating it with flowers, from drawing rangolis to setting up diyas, from inviting guests to getting puja and anjali done on time, from completion of purchase of puja essentials to distribution of prasad.
Thrilled and captured by the interest and enthusiasm of the students, our Chairman Mr. Pankaj Chowdhury has established a beautiful permanent temple of Devi Saraswati within our campus.
In presence of distinguished guests, members of the faculty, staff members, students and other invitees, our gorgeously decorated Saraswati temple inundated with the fragrance of flowers and complemented by the sound of traditional worship bells, a visual feast of multi-coloured garlands, rangolis and sparkling diyas and ofcourse a deep silence of religious observance offer rare pristine elegance to the ambience. Though a routine annual event, Saraswati puja creates a permanent space in the memories and leaves a
lasting impression in the heart among the members of GIM group.
Greatest pride of a nation lies in its sovereignty, democracy and republic form of government. Every year, GitaRam Institute of Management , celebrates the Republic Day with pride and reverence to commemorate the day the Constitution of India came into effect (26 January, 1950).
The ceremony starts with unfurling of the tricolor flag by Mr. Pankaj Chowdhury (the chairperson of GitaRam Education and Health Foundation Trust) followed by a cultural programme.
The cultural celebration includes patriotic songs, recitation and dance.Other activities like poster making competition and constitution-based quiz are also organised to make the students understand significance of this special day. The entire assembly gets emotionally involved with the pain and struggle of our freedom fighters, for whom India has been able to experience documentation and enactment of our own Constitution.
